CDEMS TRAINING OPTIONS

CDEMS was developed and continues to be funded by the Washington State Diabetes Prevention and Control Program. Basic Data Entry and Reports training classes are offered periodically for CDEMS users in Washington without charge through generous funding by the Washington Department of Health. Fee-based training options are available for non-Washington users, including group web training sessions and on-site training tailored to fit the needs of your clinic. National users may also attend the "hands-on" Basic Training classes by special arrangement -- check the "Training" page at www.cdems.com for information about the current "Basic Training" class schedule.



DATA ENTRY TRAINING

The 2-hour Data Entry web training session teaches in detail the three major functions of the CDEMS Data Entry program -- data entry, editing, and printing. An introduction to the Tickler system and Setup Wizard for customizing health condition tracking measures is also provided. Start-Up & Data Entry web training:
  • Jan 13, 2009 (T) - 10am-noon PST
Fees: $200 for 1st participant; $100 for each additional attendee from the same organization

Space for web training is limited to 15 attendees and registration is required. Simply send a note with your name, organization, phone #, invoice info, and session you wish to attend to jackie@cdems.com. An Internet meeting link and teleconference call-in number are provided upon registration.



REPORTS TRAINING

The 2-hour Reports web training session focuses on USING the valuable information collected in your registry! You'll learn about summary and intervention reports and develop skills for creating custom reports and lists to meet the specific needs of your providers, staff, and clinic administrators. The session introduces techniques for table filtering, sorting and formatting to produce exactly the reports you need. Fee: $1500 + travel expenses
