CDEMS SUPPORT OPTIONS

CDEMS was developed and continues to be funded by the Washington State Diabetes Prevention and Control Program. Most registry support services for CDEMS users in Washington are provided without charge through generous funding by the Washington Department of Health.

Until now, users in other states have relied largely on self-support resources or IT experts within their own clinics. With the spread of CDEMS nationally, calls for assistance have rapidly increased. As the CDEMS technical support specialist, I understand the need for more options to support the registry. Below are fee-based options to support your registry work from initial installation of CDEMS to clinic-specific customizations. START-UP SUPPORT PACKAGE

Begin your registry on the right foot with an overview of CDEMS and individualized start-up assistance. This support package includes interactive assistance via web conference* with the following start-up tasks:
  • Installation of CDEMS on your local computer or network
  • Clinic setup
  • State customization
  • Demographic data imports from other systems, if needed
  • Tickler system setup
  • Setup Wizard customization of health condition parameters
  • Introduction to data entry & reports
  • 1 hour follow-up tech support

Note: extensive progress note re-design and report customizations are considered a "special project" and not included with this start-up level of support.

Fee: $600

* Web conferences allow the presentation to be viewed on-line from the convenience of your office and heard through a telephone conference call. Upon registration, participants will be notified about how to connect to the on-line meeting and the toll based number to call for the teleconference. Participants pay their own standard long-distance rate for the toll-based call.



SUPPORT SOLUTIONS BY-THE-HOUR

For clarification or more in-depth evaluation of clinic-specific questions or registry customizations, hourly support is available by phone, web conference*, or e-mail.

Fee: $100/hour (30-minute minimum charge)

* Web conferences combine on-line application sharing with telephone conferencing for efficient support from the convenience of your office. Support services are delivered through scheduled or on-the-fly web conferences; participants pay their standard long-distance rate for toll-based conference calls.

Major program modifications and customized forms or reports are handled on a case-by-case basis, as time permits.
